The managing director of a company had an idea. One of their products was extremely popular pre-covid but sales were lower after the pandemic. It was decided to make a miniature version of the product and sell it at a reasonable price. During the pandemic, the main objection to the original product was its bulkiness, which required storage upfront. People were also reluctant to invest because of the tighter budgets and the covid regulations for maintaining and sanitizing storage areas. Hence, a lightweight version made sense. Where does ITIL fit in the scheme of things? For this idea, the managing director used the most recent ITIL4 guidance. Six ITIL certification courses were used. The ITIL4 DITS certification guidance was helpful in helping the MD to adjust strategy to meet changing market data.
